Christmas Winter Wonderland
 
Growing up in Lansing, Michigan in the 1960s and 1970s the city used to flood a local baseball field next to a great sledding hill.  We would get dropped off by out parents and ice skate withour friends until we were picked back up later.  The weather was cold enough for the rink to be maintained for at least a couple of months.  It was an especially great way to spend our Christmas holidays.
