Anywhere in Michigan when you hear somebody refer to "The Bridge" they are referring to the Mackinac Bridge which connects the Lower Penninsula to the Upper Penninsula.  Many think of the Upper Penninsula as a paradise, so much so that there is a small town on Lake Superior's Whitefish bay suitably named "Paradise".   The first time you cross over The Bridge heading north you will begin your journey.
